Everyone is heading back to something. This month, come back to you...
September has a way of pulling us back into motion. Children go back to school. Work settles into a new rhythm. Calendars fill. Responsibilities multiply. Before long, you may find yourself managing everyone’s schedules, answering everyone’s questions, and taking care of everything that needs attention.
But in all that going back, there is one person you may have forgotten to return to: you.
This September at Crossroads Holistic Health Services, our theme is Back to You—a gentle invitation to put yourself back on your own list, reconnect with the parts of you that have been pushed aside, and remember that your needs matter, too.
You don’t need a new planner, a perfect routine, or a complete life overhaul. You only need a place to begin. And that place can be right where you are.
A Note From Coach Jen

Have you ever reached the end of the day and realized you’ve answered everyone’s questions except your own?
What do I need?
What’s weighing on me?
What would make tomorrow feel a little more manageable?
Those questions get buried beneath work, family, appointments, errands, and the running list in your head. When you’re the person everyone depends on, it can feel almost impossible to hear yourself think—let alone figure out what you need.
I know what it’s like for life to take a turn you didn’t plan for. Crossroads didn’t begin from a dream. It began from a journey. My journey. That’s part of why I care so much about creating a place where you don’t have to arrive with everything neatly sorted out.
Every September, the world talks about going back—back to school, back to schedules, back to routines, back to business. This year, I want to invite you to go back to something even more important: yourself.
Maybe “Back to You” means finding a quiet hour without feeling guilty. Maybe it means saying something out loud that you’ve been carrying alone. Maybe it means remembering what you enjoy, setting a boundary, asking for support, or admitting that the way you’ve been living no longer fits the person you’ve become.
You do not need to arrive with all the answers. You don’t even need to know exactly what you’re looking for. Bring the questions, the exhaustion, the hopes, the messy middle—all of it.
Whatever brings you here, you deserve to feel seen, heard, and understood. We’ll start there.
Welcome Back to YOU.

We can all do one thing to help remind us of who we truly are meant to be!
Let the dishes wait. Let your partner care for the kids.
For the next 51 minutes, put your earbuds in, push play on September's Playlist, and allow the music to bring you back to the YOU that you're meant to be.
September is often associated with new lessons, but not every lesson is learned in a classroom. Some arrive through heartbreak. Some come through starting over. Others reveal themselves when you finally stop accepting what drains you.
As autumn approaches, take a moment to recognize what your life has taught you—and what your effort has grown.
Maybe you asked for help. Maybe you kept a promise to yourself. Maybe you had a difficult conversation or tried again after something didn’t go as planned.
Some growth is easy to photograph. Some of it happens in a choice nobody else sees.
Write down three things you want to acknowledge from the season behind you. Then ask yourself what you want to keep tending—and what you no longer need to carry—as the year moves forward.

A little September Reflection
Where have I been giving more than I have to give?
Which part of myself have I placed on the back burner?
What used to make me feel like me?
What lesson has this season of my life been trying to teach me?
What would returning to myself look like in practical, everyday terms?

Your needs may have changed. Something you once enjoyed may now feel like another obligation. A goal you set months ago may no longer fit. The version of you who created your current routine may not be the same person living it today.
That doesn’t mean you failed. It means it may be time for a personal check-in.
This month, practice asking: Where have I disappeared from my own life—and what would help me find my way back?
Choose one adjustment you can actually live with. Leave an evening open. Ask for help with a task. Take time before giving an answer. Return to something that once made you feel alive. Let one manageable change count.
As September Comes to a Close
Before you turn the calendar, ask yourself: Where did I find my way back to myself this month—and how can I keep choosing that connection in October?
You can carry the lesson forward without carrying every expectation with it.
This month may begin with everyone going back to something. Let it also be the month you begin coming Back to You.
There’s room for you here.
